Every person
has potential.
Opportunity helps unlock it.
Live2Impact exists to equip individuals and families through mentorship, education, workforce development, financial literacy, and community partnerships.
We believe lasting change happens when people are empowered with knowledge, guided by strong leadership, and supported by a community that believes in their future.
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
Psalm 32:8
Purpose grows when people are seen, supported, and prepared.
“Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles.
Isaiah 40:31
Strength renewed. Purpose restored. Impact multiplied.
Discover the Mission →Potential is everywhere.
Opportunity is not.
This dashboard connects national mentoring research with Florida and Polk County context.
The numbers explain the pressure. The mission is to build relationships, skills, faith, and opportunity around young people before a crisis defines their path.
More than one in three young people grow up without a mentor.
That represents more than nine million young people without a consistent adult relationship beyond their immediate family to help them navigate growth and opportunity.
Mental-health support
58% of young people with mentors said their mentor supported their mental health.
Help with school
85% said a mentor helped them with school or education-related issues.
Stronger sense of belonging
Young people with mentors were 22% more likely to report a strong sense of belonging while growing up.
Consistency over spectacle
The core intervention is not a flashy event. It is a dependable adult relationship built over time.
Young people within the gap
MENTOR estimates that more than nine million young people could benefit from an adult in their corner.
Residents in Polk County
Polk County continues to grow quickly, increasing the number of children and families local organizations must be prepared to reach.
U.S. Census estimate, July 1, 2025VIEW CENSUS SOURCE →Polk residents under 18
About 189,800 Polk County residents are under age 18 when the latest population estimate is combined with the county’s under-18 share.
Children in single-parent households
Florida Health CHARTS reports 30.9% for the selected county profile versus 28.2% statewide for 2017–2021.
Persistent sadness or hopelessness
In a study of Florida public high-school students using 2021 YRBS data, 39.3% reported persistent sadness or hopelessness.
CDC Preventing Chronic Disease studyInsufficient sleep
The same Florida high-school sample found 78.4% reported insufficient sleep on an average school night.
Counties cited job and life skills
Florida DJJ’s statewide service-continuum analysis found 47% of counties identified job-related services and life skills as a top need; 33% identified mentoring.
Male share of violent-crime youth arrests
Nationally, males accounted for 80% of youth arrests for violent crimes in 2020. This is a justice-system exposure signal—not a statement about the character or potential of boys.
Different pressure. Same need for connection.
CDC’s 2023 national YRBS found substantially higher reported sadness, poor mental health, suicidal ideation, and attempts among female students than male students.
One mission. Tailored mentoring.
Boys and girls can face different patterns of pressure. Effective mentoring responds to the individual rather than forcing every young person through the same model.
Resilience is built through a network.
This is a conceptual Live2Impact framework—not a clinical score. Each connection strengthens the overall support structure around a young person.
Relationships become infrastructure.
How many young people could your support reach?

Research sources, definitions, and cautions
Mentoring percentages summarize MENTOR’s reported national findings. The Florida youth-well-being figures come from a CDC study using Florida’s 2021 Youth Risk Behavior Survey. Polk County population data are from Census QuickFacts. Family-environment data are from Florida Health CHARTS. Justice figures refer to arrests or referrals, not convictions, and should never be used to label individual children.
